The vibe in an intenSati class is a combination of Rocky training for the championship fight, and Oprah leading Super Soul Sunday. It’s a workout with purpose, passion, and power — and affirmations are at the heart of every practice. We use our words to write our future, instead of worrying about it. It is the practice of the spiritual warrior.
My students come to intenSati with the intention of feeling empowered, strong, capable, and more aware of their power to make lasting positive change in their lives. Our mindset is the determining factor of our success, so we practice being the master of our mind by using intentions, affirmations, and movement to engage all our senses and activate our mindset of success. Especially in a transitional period such as from summer to fall.
We want to prepare our heart, body, and mind for the upcoming change of season — an exciting time to put your power of attraction into practice. It is the time of the Fall Equinox, which is considered one of the most powerful days of the year. It is a time of balance and renewal, to re-envision and re-energize our goals.
In intenSati we combine intention-setting, affirmations, and endorphin-releasing cardio training to align our heart, body, and mind, with the goal to live a happier and healthier life. We literally sweat our intentions into our nervous system, sowing the seeds of the success we desire. You can only reap what you sow, and using affirmations and elevated positive emotion — especially in this particular time — will help to sow the seeds for an abundance of good things.
During this time of year I look forward taking time to check in with myself, what progress I am making, and what my body and mind need so I can be my most creative, effective, and efficient, and I invite you to do the same.
How do you feel? Energized, rested, renewed after the summer, or did you enjoy a few too many cocktails and summer parties, and you feel ready to regroup and recharge?
Write it down.
What is the feeling you would you like to end this year with? Inspired, accomplished, energized, in love, healthier? Get clear about what you value and want to accomplish.
Write your story.
Write a paragraph about how your story of success looks and feels. Where are you? Who are you with? How does it feel? How will you know you have succeeded?
Use all of your senses to rehearse the feeling of your desire fulfilled. Your brain doesn’t know the difference between a real or imagined experience, and once you’ve lived your success in your mind so clearly that it feels like a memory, you have programmed yourself for success.
Practice these affirmations, preferably while moving, dancing, walking confidently — or by joining me in an intenSati class! Get your heart, body, and mind on the same team.
I am now becoming
Who I really want to be
I am the master of my fate
I was born this way
I can see my future
I imagine success
I savor the feeling
I expect the best
I am enough
I have enough
I am grateful today
I am better in every way
During this powerful time of year, the Universe is on your side. Take advantage of it. Program yourself for success. Keep the feeling alive. And use your whole self – your heart, your body, and your mind – to do so.
