3 Fitness Fashion Brands You Need to Know

By Jennifer Bandier, Founder of BANDIER

BANDIER is the first luxury destination celebrating the intersection of fashion, fitness, and music. A radically new approach to shopping for fitnesswear, it is the meeting point of years of experience in the music industry, an unmistakable eye for trends, and a sharp sense of style. Curating over 50 new and established brands from around the world in our four U.S. boutiques and global e-commerce store, BANDIER has quickly established itself as the go-to shop for fashion-forward activewear. We choose our brands based on quality and style, and everything is bought for a certain taste level.

Three brands you need to know about are: The Upside, Koral, and Heroine Sport.

The Upside // www.theupsidesport.com

Founded by Australian fitness enthusiast, Jodhi Meares, THE UPSIDE is a bold brand that caters to sartorially sophisticated individuals who make time in their demanding lives for cherished training rituals. Known for unique, refined prints and a sleek aesthetic, the brand makes body-sculpting leggings, muscle shirts, and versatile recovery hoodies that complement an active lifestyle.

Koral // www.koral.com

The California-based brand Koral is the brainchild of industry expert Peter Koral and Brazilian Creative Director Ilana Kugel, who were some of the very first to put a fashion-forward twist on activewear. With designs that look just as good in the spin studio as out on the town, Koral’s sexy take on fitness apparel can go anywhere.

Heroine Sport // www.heroinesport.com

Heroine Sport is a hybrid activewear collection by New York based designer, Nima Taherzadeh. Embodying a high-fashion sensibility with a sporty attitude, Heroine Sport’s high performance fabrics and rich details transition from day to night, from the streets to the gym.

Jennifer Bandier opened her first namesake boutique for luxury, fashion-driven activewear in Southampton (a second home since childhood) in 2014, drawing on years of work experience in the music business (where she managed Grammy winning bands such as TLC), and a natural inclination towards searching out and discovering new talent. Now, when she’s not spending time with her husband and two rescued Bluetick Coonhounds, she curates her store’s stock from the most innovative and beautiful fitness clothing brands around the world. As evidenced by the shop’s Affirmation Wall, and her involvement in charities like Culture For One and the Caron Foundation, Jennifer hopes to bring positivity and confidence to everyone she meets. For that opportunity, she feels gratitude each day.
