If you’re a regular follower of The Sweat Life and read my last Aly Sweats post, I think we can agree that “The Sweet Life” is just about the opposite of how I would describe the state of my life at the moment. Yet, when everything seems to have fallen to bits, and you are getting set to put the pieces back together — you come to realize that this is actually an amazing opportunity to put those pieces back together in your own perfect design, and truly create your sweetest life.
I have spent the better part of the last two months thinking about just this: What does my sweet life look like? Am I actually happy living in New York? Am I happy with my relationships with my friends and family? Do I want to continue to work and push as hard as I have over the last two years to keep building this brand? Where do I want to be in 5 years? 10 years? What do I want?! While I may know the answers to some of these questions, I most certainly don’t have all the answers, and I also realize the answers I think I already know, those may also shift. However, there is such a sense of empowerment and freedom that comes when you decide to sit down and really ask yourself these kinds of questions — and I mean, write them down and try to really answer them!
Once you have identified your key questions to answer, the key points to your Sweet Life, you can then formulate a plan of attack to create this life. Some plans can be seen through right away and some may take years, but if you set your plan, write it out, and put that energy out into the universe, you will feel things slowly but surely shifting in the direction you want. The power of positive thinking is not a novel concept, by any means, but it can be rather hard to do when you are not in a particularly positive place. However, if you are willing to put the work in, see these broken pieces as nothing but an opportunity, and start designing what that Sweet Life of yours is going to look like, I promise — it will start coming to you. I am making the same promise to myself.

Most of all, check in with yourself regularly and make sure you love your life. If you don’t, change it. It is all within your power. Create your own Sweet Life.
